PAY RATE: $30-$35/hourly depending on experience
Position Overview
As a Maintenance Technician II, you’ll be responsible for ensuring our clients’ facilities remain safe, comfortable, and fully functional. You’ll perform routine maintenance and light repairs, respond to service requests, and support our operations team with a variety of building-related tasks. You’ll represent Genesis every day by working closely with clients, tenants, and vendors while providing excellent customer service and professional communication.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform light repairs including patching, painting, fixing walls, doors, and ceiling tiles.
  • Handle minor plumbing, electrical, and appliance maintenance.
  • Conduct general upkeep such as cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal.
  • Assemble and install items such as dispensers, signage, light fixtures, and furniture.
  • Perform inspections and basic troubleshooting (e.g., breakers, water valves, locks, etc.).
  • Communicate regularly with supervisors and report completed work.
  • Maintain safety awareness and follow all safety procedures.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors when needed.
  • Complete additional duties and special projects as assigned.

What we’re looking for

  • Valid California Driver’s License with a clean driving record (MVR).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in maintenance, facilities, or a related trade.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Reliable attendance and professionalism — our clients depend on you!
  • Own basic tools and reliable transportation to/from Foster City.
  • Physically able to lift up to 60 lbs. and push up to 100 lbs. with frequent movement.
  • Comfortable using smartphones and tablets for work orders and time tracking.
  • Knowledge of California labor laws related to timekeeping, meal, and rest breaks.
  • Able to work on weekends as needed.

Pay: $32.00 – $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week on weekends as needed
