Day Porter and Janitorial

Job Function:
Represent the company to the client and tenants. Provide support for minor issues as they occur. To provide day porter and light cleaning services of an assigned area within the frequency and time frame allotted. Follow procedures and company policies. Porter duties to include but not limited to manage client and tenant requests, restocking consumables, light bulb replacement, minor repair, touch up painting, etc.

Day Porter and Janitorial Duties:

  • Porter duties to include but not limited to manage client and tenant requests, restocking consumables, light bulb replacement, minor repair, touch up painting, etc
  • Cleaning to include but not limited to dusting, polishing, vacuuming, mopping, trash removal, etc
  • Service areas depend on work assignment and may include office space, restrooms, kitchens, schools, medical space, warehouse, elevators, etc
  • Maintain all equipment and supply to perform duties
  • Maintain uniform and present a clean appearance
  • Maintain excellent knowledge of work hazards and safety procedures
  • Communication with supervisor

Requirements:

  • English speaking
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Transportation to and from work
  • Valid California Driver’s License if job includes travel
  • Physically able to perform light duty labor and lift up to 60 pounds and push up to 100 pounds
  • Physically able to walk, stand, lift, reach, bend, kneel, climb, twist, pull, squat, grasp and use arm-hand coordination on a consistent basis

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must be professional and friendly. Flexible and willing to work attitude
  • Must have excellent organization and communication skills to manage duties along with day-to-day requests
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team
  • Mobile phone and access to email or text
  • General knowledge of the methods, materials, tools and equipment used in facility maintenance
  • Reading, writing and verbal skills sufficient to perform duties
  • Prior experience preferred
